Genesis today unveiled an update to the Electrified G80 at the Busan International Mobility Show.

The most notable change is the significant boost in range. Thanks to a fourth-generation 94.5 kWh battery, the G80 Electrified now covers up to 475 km according to Korean testing standards.

The Electrified G80 also gained improved front and rear suspension bushes, an Electronically Controlled Suspension (ECS), and active rear-wheel steering (RWS).

The exterior design has received subtle updates as well. The signature Genesis crest grille now sports a gradient G-Matrix pattern and a larger air intake. The charging port gains lighting and electric opening and closing functions with heating for added convenience. It had to be Genesis, to come up with a heated charging port.

The wheelbase has been extended by 130 mm to 3,140 mm, resulting in increased rear legroom - 995 mm and headroom - 950 mm. A new Active Sound design (e-ASD) minimizes road noise, further enhancing the serene ambiance within the cabin.

In the front are a 27-inch OLED infotainment and driver displays. The system can be split into two or three screens for enhanced multitasking capabilities. A new 17-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system with Dolby ATMOS and a fingerprint authentication system as well as heated front seat console armrest are added to the featureset.

The new "Chauffer Mode" optimizes torque and suspension settings to create a smooth and comfortable ride for rear passengers, while a separate Chauffer Brake Mode promises gentle and refined braking.

Other flagship-level luxury features include a one-button easy rear door system, and an electric door curtain.

The updated Genesis Electrified G80 starts at around €60,300 (89.19 million won) in Korea before incentives. In the US, the 2024 model currently starts at €67,027 and the upgraded version is expected to launch in Europe and North America soon.
