BYD teased the upcoming Yuan Up on its official Weibo, sharing six images of the car.
The Yuan Up is based on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 and is a compact SUV with sporty and youthful styling.
BYD says the Yuan Up is an A0 segment EV, which should mean a compact car with a sub-2.7 meter wheelbase.
According to a leaked regulatory filing, the Yuan Up measures 4,310 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. There are three weight options - 1,430 kg, 1,520 kg, and 1,540 kg.
Rumor has it, the Yuan Up will have a single motor with two power options - 70 kW (94 hp) and 130 kW (174 hp) - and a maximum speed of 160 km/h. Expect a maximum range of 401 km.
Finally, dealers will reportedly pay RMB 120,000 (€15,600), RMB 125,000 (€16,300), and RMB 130,000 (€17,000) for the BYD Yuan Up, which means the price for regular customers will be slightly less than that.
